What if I have multiple students?
We're using a new platform this year that has some differences from previous years. Most importantly, all donations will allocate to only one student per account (e-mail address), meaning that in order for each student to have his or her own donation page, a separate e-mail address must be used per student. This may mean using a spouse's or other family member's e-mail address to create an account. We recognize that needing to create individual pages per student is not ideal, but as we navigate this new donation software, it will very greatly reduce the strain on our volunteers who are tracking the donations and associated prizes. Thank you in advance for your help with this!
How do I register?
If you don't have an account yet (or need to create another account for an additional student):
1. Navigate to the Greater Giving website
2. Click Create account
3. Enter your email address 2 times
4. Click I’m not a robot
5. Click Confirm
6. Check your email inbox for a verification message
7. Click the link from your email message
8. Create a password
9. Enter your student's name (not yours)
10. Fill in other required info into the form like your address
11. Click Create a profile
12. Click Verify email
13. Now move on to all the steps below. You will need to go back to this website link
If you already have an account:
1. Navigate to the Greater Giving website
2. Enter your email address and password.
3. Click Enter
4. Where it asks if you want to create a new activity, click Create. This will be your student's personal fundraising page.
5. Click Edit your student's personal fundraising page.
* Personalize the description text. You can say more about what your student(s) love about St. Louis, for example
* Add an image of your student(s),
* Change the short-link to have your family's last name
* Note, for each piece of content you want to update, click EDIT then SAVE before you edit another piece of content. If it doesn't appear to be updating, try refreshing your browser.
6. Click Done
7. Back on the activity page, you can click to email the fundraising page or post on social media
8. Repeat this for other students.
8. When you want to visit the fundraising status page again navigate to https://supporter.greatergiving.com/Pages/Landing.aspx
8. Don't forget to check to see who has donated and send them a lovely thank you note for their support :)
Can donors customize how much they want to give?
Yes, so long as it's more than $5. We've pre-defined some suggested amounts, and you can change that on your family's page. However, a donor could give $7.12 or $712.00 for example.
Troubleshooting
1. Some parents have said Greater Giving is not compatible with the student's email address. Please try using a different email address.
2. If you're trying to edit your page and it doesn't seem to be saving, try refreshing your browser. This seems to be a bug with the platform.
3. If you want to edit the page again, re-enter from https://supporter.greatergiving.com/login. (If you go to the URL above again, it seems to force you to create a whole new page :(
4. Some pictures are showing up horizontally. We don't know how to fix this. Try using a smaller image, or just laugh about it with your friends and family members.
5. If you accidentally create another page under your account, you can delete it by following these steps:
1. Navigate to https://supporter.greatergiving.com/Pages/Landing.aspx
2. Click Switch Fundraising Activity (in the upper right corner)
3. Click St. Louis Catholic Church & School >
4. Click 2023-2023 Race for Education >
5. Click ont he personal fundraising page you want to delete >
6. Click Edit your personal fundraising page
7. Scroll to the very bottom where it says "Status of Page". Click Edit.
8. Select "Unplublished"
9. Click Save
10. Click Done
6. Still need help? Reach out to trainor.whitney@gmail.com
Anything else?
Please remember everyone organizing this event and doing the data analysis is a volunteer and the ultimate goal is to raise money to further our children's eduction, not to earn prizes. We've done our very best to make sure the prizes are equitable and exciting for the kids.
Please read more information about the goal of the fundraiser, day of the race & prizes on the About page.

St. Louis Catholic School is a little school with a big heart. Our wonderful teachers, staff, parents, and community work to form disciples of Christ in spirit, mind, and body through faith formation, rigorous academics and service to our community.
Special note: You can donate as much or as little as you like by editing the value. For example, you can edit the amount to be $7.12 or $712.00. The only limitation of this platform is that the minimum donation is $5.00
The Race for Education event is our only direct ask fundraising event of the year. We hope you'll consider donating so that we can continue to build an environment where the students learn & grow. Every little bit raised helps the school.
If you're able, we'd love to have you join us to cheer on the students as they run laps, eat pizza and celebrate all their fundraising efforts on Thursday, October 12th.
Thank you in advance for supporting your student and our school community.
